Why donate to Corpus Medicorum and The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation?

All profits from Corpus Medicorum concerts are donated to charity.  To put on a concert we still must cover costs associated with performance and rehearsal venue hire, marketing, sheet music hire, logistics and guest artists' fees.  Every cent remaining was donated to medical research.

The focus of fund raising is to support lung cancer research at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.  To date we have supported projects in Lung Cancer Detection and Biopsy, Pulmonary Metastatectomy, Medical Informatics and Data Collection.  The Orchestra has also funded surgical equipment for emergency surgery, plus a state-of-the-art fully-integrated sound system for our operating theatres - this system is located in operating rooms plus patient waiting areas including recovery and was proudly supported by Mrs Barbara Haynes OAM. Our musical doctors are truly committed to the power of music in helping to heal their patients.

All performers from the medical fraternity are volunteers and are paying their own way for each concert and all our touring adventures around the globe.

By donating to Corpus Medicorum you can help us cover costs and present more frequent concerts in and around Melbourne.  What an enjoyable way it is for us all to raise much needed funds to support public health!

All donations to Corpus Medicorum are tax deductible and will be acknowledged on our website, future programs and where appropriate through The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation.
