PROGRAM IMAGERY Explained…

In crafting the branding for the 2024 Corpus Medicorum Concert Series, the overarching goal was to encapsulate the essence of each unique performance while creating a visually captivating and fantastical aesthetic. The chosen concept seamlessly weaves together diverse elements from different concerts.

The floral arrangement serves as a visual interpretation of a child's vision of heaven, an ethereal realm beyond the confines of our world. This symbolic choice reflects the otherworldly and transcendental nature of the musical experiences offered in the concert series. The florals not only embody a heavenly vision but also pay homage to the memorial tradition, specifically drawing inspiration from "Le Tombeau de Couperin." This dual symbolism infuses depth into the concept, connecting the audience with both the celestial and the contemplative aspects of the concerts.

The incorporation of Art Nouveau elements is a deliberate nod to Mahler's concert posters of the past, establishing a visual link with the historical context of the performances. This addition brings a touch of elegance and sophistication, echoing the timeless quality of the music presented. Overlaying Art Nouveau graphics with a subtle sky texture serves as a nod to Jupiter, the Sky Father.

The overall concept is intentionally dream-like, mirroring the fantastical nature of the final piece, 'Symphonie Fantastique.' This ethereal quality invites the audience to immerse themselves in a realm of imagination and emotion, setting the stage for a transformative musical experience.

The inclusion of poppies in the concept is a subtle historical reference, acknowledging Berlioz's reputed influence of opium during composition.

In conclusion, the 2024 Corpus Medicorum Concert Series branding concept combines symbolism, historical references, and a dream-like atmosphere to create a visually striking and thematically cohesive representation.
